An acne-friendly dip free from dairy, gluten and sugar. Black beans are a good source of protein - essential for supporting the liver and keeping blood sugar stable.
Ingredients
1 large can (540mL) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 clove garlic, minced
Juice of 1 small lime (about 2 tbsp.)
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. coriander
1/2 tsp. unrefined salt
2 tbsp. water (adjust as needed)
Directions
In a food processor or blender, combine black beans, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, cumin, coriander and unrefined salt.
Blend for 20 seconds at a time, pausing to scrape the sides of the bowl. Test the consistency, and add water if needed.
Enjoy as a dip or spread.
