Honey Apple Crisp

Nutrient dense and naturally sweetened - this is a fall favourite.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced 0.5cm

  • 1 small lemon (juice)

  • ¼ cup sesame seeds, ground

  • ¼ cup sesame seeds, ground

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • ¼ cup coconut oil

  • ¼ cup raw honey or natural maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease 11x7 in. baking dish with coconut oil.

  2. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Add them to the baking dish.

  3. In a medium bowl thoroughly combine oats, ground sesame seeds, ground sunflower seeds, coconut oil, honey, cinnamon, and salt.

  4. Pour the granola mixture over the apples. Bake for about 45 minutes - until the apples are soft and the top starts to brown.
